Sometimes I can't believe we ever tried to convince ourselves we were friends, just best friends, and not two souls desperately longing for each other. I think back, and all I remember is an ever present ache. And some days I still feel it, when there's too much distance or time, and we forget to connect. But I'm drawn back to you, ever time, forever, because you were meant to be mine, since the day we met. Our hearts are tied together, eternally. Happy Valentine's Day, sweet puppy.
